Announces the Arrival of Kinesis Equipment The First Medical Clinic in North America to Use the Kinesis in a Rehabilitation Setting! Most new equipment barely raises an eyebrow when it appears in a clinic. However, a new resistance weight-training system is now making its Physical Therapy debut at Los Alamitos Orthopedic and Sports Rehab Center in Los Alamitos, California.
This State-of-the-art full-motion weight-training system is called "Kinesis". Clinic owners Andrew Einhorn, MA PT and Michael Mandas PT stated "we chose the Kinesis because of its unique design which permits 360 degrees of motion while performing a number of upper and lower body exercises.
Mandas, concluded that "unlike some cable machines, the Kinesis system doesn't include attached benches or seats, instead this system allows you to incorporate unconventional movements challenging your core muscle stabilization". Both owners and therapists were very pleased that the Kinesis system offers its users more freedom in their exercise, responding to trends in functional training. It challenges people to move in a three-dimensional way resulting in the activation of a wider range of muscles during training.
